You can think about all the things you dislike about your life, the suffering you’ve endured, the negative sh*t that’s going on in the world… You can coast along, putting up with the stuff you don’t like. You can be lazy, blame others and waste your days feeling bitter, unfulfilled and low…

OR

You change your focus. You can be grateful for all the wonderful things you’re lucky to have. You can look around you at the beauty and magic of the planet we call home. You can choose where you live, what you do for a living, what you talk about, who you surround yourself with, and how you spend your time.

Choose wisely.
This is your life, and it’s up to you to make it a good one.

My Mental Health Journey

Up until my late 20’s, I was coasting through my life without taking any accountability. I suffered on and off with (sometimes, debilitating) depression, anxiety and very low self-esteem. I didn’t have that much fun and I wasn’t living life to the fullest. Eventually, I hit crisis point, unable to function.

CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) was a huge turning point for me, and I highly recommend it. Once I felt better, I wanted to reduce my chances of suffering from mental health problems again, to stop coasting through life, and start shaping my own destiny. So I began studying books, watching videos, attending events and training courses… learning all I could about how to become a happy, successful person (a list of these experiences is below).

As a result, I’m now mentally stronger and living a much more fulfilling life.

Of course, I sometimes have a bad day. But that’s usually all it is: a day, sometimes two. It’s an ongoing journey, and I’m still learning. And sometimes: bad things happen or my hormones mess me up. However, I’m more resilient now, and know how to get myself back into a good state.

I share my experiences on my blog and YouTube channel, in the hope of helping others.
